We do not store or cache any patient data on a mobile user’s phone. The patient data (ePHI) is only ever stored in a restricted database on the Pulsara Cloud platform with limited access. No patient data is ever permanently stored on iOS or Android devices.
Any time a mobile user needs to access the data, the ePHI is re-downloaded from the Pulsara platform (restricted database). Again, the data is only downloaded into “volatile” memory on the device, and not stored for any extended period of time. To be super-technical, the patient data is automatically “cleaned up” by the operating system garbage collector once the Pulsara mobile application moves to a “background” or “terminated” status in iOS and Android.
