Pulsara’s purpose is to improve the lives of patients and caregivers through innovative communication. We’re honored to serve as the leading provider-to-provider healthcare communication platform, but today, the scope of our purpose expands: introducing Pulsara PATIENT.
The Pulsara platform now allows the care team to remotely communicate with patients and caregivers, a capability that is especially pertinent as the COVID-19 pandemic unfolds.
With Pulsara PATIENT1.0 (the patient/family facing app) and Pulsara 10.11.1, you can securely and easily communicate directly with the patient/family in real time using live audio or video calling.
HOW TO ENABLE PULSARA PATIENT FUNCTIONALITY
To enable live video/audio functionality with the patient or family, verify that the Pulsara video is enabled by the Pulsara administrator at your facility and update to the newest version of Pulsara Platform (Version 10.11.1). Once installed, follow these steps to enable secure video telemedicine:
Create a patient Channel.
Once a patient channel is activated, add a patient (or Family Member, Witness or Power of Attorney) in the CONTACT field.
Send Pulsara PATIENT App Invitation.
When you hit “Save,” a pre-populated text message will be sent to the patient:
The team at [Organization] wants to make secure video calls with you. Download the Pulsara PATIENT App. Once you verify your phone number, you'll be able to receive video calls!
Android: https://pulsara.com/patient-android
iOS: https://pulsara.com/patient-ios
After installing the Pulsara PATIENT app from the Google Play or iOS App Store, the patient will be ready to accept secure audio and video calls.
NOTE: Calls can only be initiated from the clinician’s side. Calls cannot be initiated by the patient to the provider.
