Pulsara Version 4.4 Focuses on Endovascular Stroke Features [Press Release]

Pulsara has added several new features to better enable endovascular treatment for stroke patients at hospitals that are intervention capable.

Bozeman, MT - March 7th, 2016 - In order to make Pulsara's Stop Stroke module as effective as possible, the company has implemented several new features and will require an upgrade to the 4.4 mobile app version 24 hours after it is released.

New features that for hospital team members include:isc-ppt-android-gold.png

  • Improved primary alert sound - the siren sound starts quietly and then increases volume.
  • Thrombolytics panel - with a new Door to Needle timer
  • CTA Completed - Now, you can toggle when the CTA is completed and instantly notify the rest of the team that results are available.
  • New support for acute ischemic stroke endovascular treatment:
    • Stop a stroke case with either Lytics, a Device or both.
    • Activate your Interventional Radiology team for suspected large vessel occlusion.
    • Alert Stroke Interventionalist and Anesthesiologist Physicians.
    • Track Door to Puncture, Device First Pass and Reperfusion score/time.

"For EMS users, Pulsara continues to provide complete visibility into the results for stroke patients that are dropped off at the Hospital. Medics can see whether lytics were given, a device was deployed and what level of reperfusion was achieved," said James Woodson, CEO and Founder of Pulsara. "EMS is a critical component when establishing a regional system of care. Because of that, we believe it’s valuable to provide you real time feedback about your patients, and version 4.4 will improve that process."

For administrative users, all tools have also been updated in the Pulsara browser app. Now users can view, edit, and export stroke patients receiving endovascular treatment - including key stats.

Pulsara is especially excited to be able to help applicable hospitals with their LVO workflows, using the following features:
  • Specify if the stroke patient is a suspected LVO.
  • Added support for specialists. Assign and notify Interventionalists or Anesthesiologists at any point in the case.
  • Activate the IR team, and let the whole care team know when the IR team is ready to receive the patient with just a few simple taps.
  • Record the Puncture time, Device First Pass time and Reperfusion time and score.
  • Track the current patient against your key Door to Puncture metric.

Additionally, based on user feedback, Pulsara has modified the original STEMI and Stroke siren alert sound to start off softly and gradually crescendo to a loud tone, in hopes of accomodating users whether they are in bed or in the hectic ED when they get the alert.

In order to bring users the best possible app experience, Pulsara has recently expanded their development team to include a new Software Engineer in Test, Erik McDonald. This new hire will free up some time other developers previously spent testing the app on mobile devices manually. Erik will be implementing automated testing frameworks in place of this arduous process, helping to ensure any bugs are caught before users find them.

Finally, Pulsara has updated its EULA and Privacy Policies to reflect the following changes;

EULA:

  • Included references to users in Australia as well as the United States.
  • Included references to compliance with relevant privacy laws of the country in which the User is located.

End User Privacy Policy

  • Changed the title to include "End User" to distinguish it from the Web Privacy Policy.
  •  Made changes to comply with both US and Australian Privacy Laws.

Website Privacy Policy

  • Generalized the description of our product to "Pulsara Solution" rather than calling out Stop Stroke and Stop STEMI.
