Team Pulsara : Nov 04, 2015
Bozeman, MT - November 4th, 2015 - Pulsara's development team has created several new features, which will be released in the next version of the app (version 4.2). Some of the new features include:
Additionally, because Pulsara staff understands that Last Known Well time in a stroke case is often updated frequently, the development team has added access to this metric on the active patient screen. This placement makes it even easier to tap and update the time.
The bar timers that appear on active cases will also have a new, sleeker look. This change will take effect in version 4.2 for iOS and 4.3 for Android.
The new updates include an improvement to the hospital selection process for EMS. Now EMS users (both on mobile and desktop) will see city/state, distance, and estimated drive time next to each possible hospital they can take a patient to. Additionally, hospitals with a star next to them have previously been associated with that EMS agency, and will show up at the top of the list of destination hospitals. .
The new updates include security features too. In previous versions of the Pulsara platform, there was a fixed login duration of 2 weeks. This meant that mobile app users could enter their login/password and then simply use a 4 digit PIN for two weeks before automatically being logged out.
With the new version, Pulsara has put control of the automatic logout duration in the users' hands. Users and their IT departments can now decide the proper security/usability trade-off for your organization. Two weeks will still be the default, but facilities can ratchet the time frame up or down from the Hospital admin screens.
Because there was some confusion over usernames, Pulsara has made it possible for all users to use their email address as their login ID, and all admin users to edit existing accounts to change usernames and email addresses for their users. Additionally, Health System Administratiors have a new streamlined user interface for managing the hospitals in their systems.
Finally, the Pulsara team continues to grow. One of the team's newest hires is Shawn Olson, who will be a Client Experience liason, communicating user concerns to the development team, to ensure the best possible user experience.
