...Okay, well the most obvious way to celebrate St. Patrick's day in a heart healthy way with your pooch would be to take him or her outside for a short jog. Seriously, new research has shown that even exercising even as little as 5 minutes per day DRASTICALLY reduces all-cause AND cardiovascular mortality. But I digress.
At Pulsara, we are all about health ... even the health of our pets! So this Saint Patty's Day, we're bringing you a recipe for some uber-healthy, super simple, and oh-so-delicious homemade treats for Fido! And, because these treats include healthy ingredients like spinach, your dog will benefit from getting some micronutrients he might otherwise be missing in his diet.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

1 cup of whole wheat flour
1 cup of cooked peas (canned or frozen)
1 cup of spinach
1/4 cup canola oil
1 egg
tsp sea salt
1 additional egg for egg wash
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
-Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl
-Puree the Peas and the Spinach together in a blender
-Add the wet mix to the dry, followed by 1 egg
-Knead together until it forms a dough
-Cover your bowl and let it chill for 20 – 30 minutes
-Once chilled, sprinkle your dough with some flour, then roll out and cut into festive shapes
-Bake 20-30 minutes
-Make your doggy's day.
